On 4 March 2025, the Swiss Financial Innovation Desk (FIND) organized a facts-finding trip to the IBM Innovation Studio and Think Lab Zurich in Rüschlikon with 20+ key stakeholders of the swiss financial ecosystem. This visit offered a unique opportunity to explore the development of quantum technology, gain an overview of its advancements, and appreciate both its transformative potential and the cybersecurity challenges it presents for financial institutions.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Alain Gut (Public Affairs Switzerland / Government and Regulatory Affairs, IBM Switzerland), Oliver Ottow (Research Innovation Leader, IBM Research Europe), Manuel Proissl (Quantum Industry Applications Lead, Executive Advisor, IBM Research), and Marco Brenner (Quantum Safe Project Executive, IBM Quantum) for welcoming us and sharing their invaluable insights.

Based on this facts-finding trip, FIND's own research, expert interviews, we have consolidated our findings into a publication, which you can discover in our library: Action Plan to a Quantum-Safe Financial Future.

We are also pleased to make one of the presentations shared by IBM Research during the visit available. Our sincere thanks to Marco Brenner of IBM Research for kindly agreeing to this.
